What a weekend!!! The kids and I went to see the Hulls over Labor Day and ended up having a GREAT time!! We just hung out and watched movies and drank wine and had a good time! Michelle was glad to finally see Katie - they've been missing each other the last few visits we've had. Michelle is looking for a formal dress for the homecoming formal coming up so her and I went to the outlet mall in Columbus and tried on some dresses. They all really looked good but none of them was the "one" so we just decided to keep looking. Rachel gave us a scare Saturday morning when she woke up and couldn't hear very well out of her left ear. I called Vanderbilt right away and got her in yesterday. She has lost some hearing in the left ear but it's not enough to do anything at this point. Oddly enough, she has gained some hearing in her right ear which is pretty unheard of as far as loss of hearing goes. But we'll take it. So not great news but not horrible and we're back in the waiting game again!!! We all sat around Sunday and watched Blades of Glory which had some really hysterical parts!! We also watched Fracture with Ryan Gosling and Anthony Hopkins and that was really good! Stephen and John hung out in Clarksville for the weekend and had a "guys" weekend which apparently went pretty well. Now, I'm just trying to get back in the swing of things. Rachel has her birthday party Saturday. It will be my first time throwing a boy/girl party and that's kind of frightening. We're having a pool party at our neighbor's house and then planning an elaborate scavenger hunt for them throughout the neighborhood and to the school. It should be fun. I'm just hoping it doesn't rain or I may want to crawl away and hide because I don't know what I'll do with these kids! Well - more later!!! ta ta

You should have stuck your tongue out in your picture, too! Good luck with the party!!!
By the way - the kids would probably LOVE it if it rains - it will be warm enough so just let them do the scavenger hunt anyway. Especially since they'll have their swimsuits on to begin with!
