Let me just say.... I absolutely loved Paul Newman as an actor, philanthropist, outspoken liberal, and I really, really love his lite balsamic vinaigrette dressing!! He will be missed by many.....
We totally second that. I was really bummed when Roger called me at work with the "guess who died?!" call. Plus, I truly hate it when he's the one who tells me and not the other way around!
Loved the last batch of pictures! When is the next installment of "things we didn't know about Kelly?"
Paul Bettany - this guy just needs the right project. He's made some bad choices but really has the talent.
James Macavoy - might actually be the first of this group to win one. He's had an amazing body of work the last 5 years.
Tom Cruise - laugh all you want, his roles in Magnolia, Jerry Mcguire (and others!) are still awesome. If he can stay off the radar pubicly for a while he's still definitely a "movie star."
Brad Pitt - I know, I know ... Mr. Pretty Boy, but his acting chops cannot be denied. Snatch, Seven, The Assasinationj of Jesse James..., Babel. He has a lot more depth than people give him credit for.
Robert Downey, Jr. - I have loved him since his 80s movies! He really has turned it around for himself and made some great choices recently. Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang was hilarious! Hopefully, Iron Man will send some scripts his way.
Johnny Depp - love him because he has always done exactly what he wants to do. He could have gone all pretty boy but has made some bold movie choices. A multiple nominee, it's only a matter of time.
Christian Bale - ever since I saw American Psycho I have loved this guy. Really, even since Empire of the Sun. If Stephen Spielberg saw something when he was a kid, you know he has to be good!
Edward Norton - this guy gives some intense performances. He seems to totally become whatever character he is playing. I don't think I've ever seen one of his movies that I have not liked.
Ryan Gosling - he gives some of the most subtle, emotional performances I've ever seen. Half Nelson, Lars and the Real Girl, even The Notebook... you totally feel this guys pain!
As most of you know, I'm the mom of the Turner family in Tennessee. Our family includes husband, John and kids, Michelle, Rachel, and Stephen. We also have two doggies, Spencer and Bella!
